At the core of RCT lies cutting-edge audio fingerprinting technology, a powerful feature that automatically identifies and eliminates duplicate tracks within a Rekordbox 6 library, regardless of tags or audio format. Remarkably, this process retains all essential DJ metadata, including cues, loops, beatgrids, and playlists, ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, RCT leverages this same audio fingerprinting technology to enable unprecedented automatic track relocation, a feature unlike any other in the industry.
 
However, RCT's capabilities extend far beyond duplicate track management

All functions the Rekordbox Collection Tool has to offer:

• Find duplicate tracks on a Rekordbox library based on audio finger print data and optionally based on metadata.
• Process the duplicate track sets according to your liking without losing playlist entries or cues/loops and other metadata.
• Add new downloaded tracks to the Rekordbox library automatically with the following options:
  • Avoid duplicates using audio finger printing technology and optionally metadata comparing.
  • If the same track of lesser quality already exists in the Rekordbox library, the new version will take its place. Metadata of the old version is copied over to the new version. The old version will be replaced with the new version in all playlists.
  • Move the audio files from the source download folder to a predefined target folder, based on the Rekordbox playlist the tracks are added to.
  • If your rekordpool provides audio files with Serato cues/loops/grids, then these are converted to Rekordbox.
  • Names of audio files can be changed to pure ASCII and cleared of any extended Finder attributes.
• Reset the location of selected tracks (=make them relocatable again).
• Auto Relocate, which uses a different methodology than Rekordbox 6's auto relocate function. When Auto Relocate in Rekordbox 6 fails, this might succeed. Additionally RCT's auto relocate can relocate tracks stored on Dropbox (=CloudSync tracks).
• Make Dropbox (=CloudSync) tracks available on macOS systems that no longer support Dropbox smart-sync for online only tracks. This problem started with macOS Monterey and later. RCT can ensure that Dropbox tracks that don't load in Rekordbox become available again, based on a user selection of playlists/folders.
• Deep remove tracks, not only removing the track from Rekordbox but also remove the associated audio file. The audio file is either moved to a user defined "pre-bin" or delete directly.
• Merge or copy metadata between identicall tracks. Keep cues, loops, beatgrids, playlist entries and much more when changing audio type, including between tracks on streaming services and downloaded files. This is also a relocate option of last resort.
• Find orphan tracks in the library. Orphan tracks are tracks that are not in any playlist.
• Make current computer owner of selected tracks (=fix the grey tracks) and change the status of selected tracks from cloud-stored to local-stored including chaging storage location to the originating location.
• Repair WAV audio files that won't load on certain CDJ players.
• 'Restore Rekordbox 6 Backup' a separate app that helps restoring a Rekordbox 6 collection to a previous state using Rekordbox's automatic internal backups. 'Restore Rekordbox 6 Backup'  is included in this beta, it is stored in the miscellaneous folder of the mounted RCT dmg.
• The possibility to file an "erase Cloud based data" request, which is very important when starting a Rekordbox 6 library from scratch. This is not a totally free service. The current fee is US$ 10,- per clearing.

IMPORTANT:

• MacOS only, you need an Apple Macintosh (compatible) computer (MacBook, iMac, MacMini etc) incl the M1 macs! 
• Only Tidal, Beatport streaming and Beatsource streaming are supported as audio streaming services.
• RCT only works with Rekordbox 6 and has been tested up to Rekordbox version 6.8.5
• The support audio streaming services are Beatport streaming, Beatsource and Tidal.
• No refunds if you use a different Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux or iOS. 
• An iPad/iPhone is NOT a MacOS computer, it is an iOS device
• fully compatible with macOS from version 10.13 (High Sierra) upto macOS 15 (Sonoma) including Apple Silicon powered macs
• the App requires an open internet connection during startup
• RCT is not perfect. It will find all tracks with 100% identical audio and track length. If there are minor discrepencies between audio information or track length then those tracks will not be marked as duplicates.
