What data is converted?

• Playlists (or crates)
• Common tags such as artist, title, genre, artwork, play count, star ratings and more
• DJ-specific data, including cues and loops with their names and colors
• Beatgrids
• Track colors
• And everything else that the source and destination DJ software have in common

What is NOT converted?

• Smart playlists or crates
• Tracks from audio streaming services such as TIDAL, Spotify, and Beatport Streaming
• Related tracks

Worth mentioning:

• Track order within playlists or crates cannot always be preserved.
• The order of playlists and crates are not always preserved either.
• DJCU2 requires certain permissions to function properly. They are explained in this setup-tutorial

About (Fluid) Beatgrid Conversion

One of DJCU2’s unique features is its ability to convert the fluid beatgrids created by Algoriddim djay Pro and VirtualDJ.

It is important to note that the conversion is not an “exact copy”. The quality of the converted beatgrid depends on several factors. However, the results will generally be considerably more accurate than the target DJ software’s own BPM and beatgrid analysis.

In addition to converting your DJ library metadata, DJCU2 can also:

• Integrate Mixed in Key data, Import Musical Key and Cue Points from Mixed in Key into any DJCU2 supported DJ software. Mixed in Key cues can be added alongside your existing cues and can also be removed automatically when needed. This function requires a valid Mixed In Key license to be active on the computer where DJCU2 is running.
• Create shareable DJ library archives, Package your entire library, including all audio files, into a shareable archive that can be sent to another DJ. The recipient can extract the archive directly into their own DJ software, even if they use different software from the original source.
  The Shareable Archive uses an open standard for storing DJ metadata. Its underlying SQLite database is unencrypted and easy to understand, allowing DJs with programming knowledge to access, analyze, and manipulate the data as they wish. This effectively allows DJCU2 to act as both a reader from and writer to DJ software libraries.

• Basic automatic file relocation, Automatically locate and relink audio files that are no longer stored in their expected location.

Upgrading from a Previous DJCU or DeCU Version

If you purchased a license for either DJ Conversion Utility (DJCU) or Denon Conversion Utility (DeCU) on or after January 1, 2025, you are eligible to purchase a DJCU2 license at a discounted upgrade price of €20.00.

To receive the upgrade offer, send an email including the PayPal email address used for your original purchase. You will then receive a payment link. Once payment has been received, access to the DJCU2 download will be provided.

Customers who purchased DJCU or DeCU before January 1, 2025 will require to buy a DJCU2 license. Their existing DJCU or DeCU license remains valid, and the original application will continue to function on the macOS versions it currently supports.

Because DJCU2 is a completely new application that combines the functionality of several previously separate apps into a single product, its license price remains significantly lower than the combined cost of purchasing those applications separately.

• macOS only, you need an Apple Macintosh (compatible) computer (MacBook, iMac, MacMini etc)! 
  No refunds if you use a different Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux or iOS. 
  An iPad/iPhone is NOT a macOS computer, it is an iOS device
